Masterplanning

Listen, Learn, Lead

Delivering a successful masterplan requires dynamic listening and inspiring leadership. Throughout his career, Engblom has worked closely with clients at a broad range of scales to deliver successful places. His Architectural leadership style is more about orchestrating the best performances from the entire team of consultants rather than being the loudest soloist.

Masterplanning happens in three steps: Analysis, Alternatives, and Design

Analysis - Understanding and Synthesizing the inputs of a project from Client and Stakeholders goals, Environmental Context, Regulatory Context, Economic realities

Alternatives - Developing feasible responses to a program along with quantitative metrics, and managing subjective responses

Design - Once a preferred direction for the plan is determined a conceptual level package is developed that will form the brief for implementation phases of the work.

Note: The masterplanning work listed is work personally done by Stephen Engblom while part of AECOM, Helpern Associates, and Page Architects respectively.
